These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Creating Equality website and participation in any classes, training, private instruction, group training, or related services offered.
By using this website or registering for any services, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must meet all legal requirements to participate in any classes, training, private instruction, group training, or related services, including age and eligibility requirements under applicable laws.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are legally permitted to possess and use firearms where applicable.
Training Participation
Participation in classes, training, private instruction, group training, or related services requires:
- Compliance with all safety instructions
- Following all range rules and instructor guidance
- Responsible and lawful behavior at all times
Creating Equality reserves the right to refuse or remove any participant who does not follow safety protocols or behaves in an unsafe or disruptive manner.
Assumption of Risk
Participation in firearms and related classes, training, private instruction, group training, or related services involves inherent risks.
By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks, including but not limited to injury, property damage, or other unforeseen outcomes.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Creating Equality is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in classes, training, private instruction, group training, or related services or use of this website.
Training may include discussion of legal concepts, laws, or general legal considerations related to self-defense, firearms, or personal protection. This information is for educational purposes only and is not legal advice. Participants are responsible for understanding and following applicable laws and should consult a qualified attorney for legal advice.
No Guarantee of Outcome
Any classes, training, private instruction, group training, or related services is intended to provide education and instruction.
We do not guarantee any specific outcome, skill level, or result from participation.
Completion of training does not guarantee approval of any permit, license, certification, or other application.
Scheduling and Changes
Class, training, private instruction, group training, or related services schedules, locations, and availability may change.
Online registration may be available for select scheduled classes. Other training options, including private instruction, group training, custom training, youth and family safety, personal safety, and emergency readiness, may be scheduled by request.
Registration is not confirmed until any required payment, forms, or confirmation steps are completed.
We reserve the right to modify or cancel classes as needed. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to notify participants.
Payments and Contributions
Payments for classes, training, private instruction, group training, or related services and contributions made to support classes, training, private instruction, group training, or related services access are processed through third-party providers.
All contributions made to support training access:
- Are voluntary
- Are not tax-deductible
- Are applied toward training access at our discretion
Financial Assistance
Submission of a financial assistance application does not guarantee approval.
Assistance is:
- Limited
- Based on availability and need
- Determined at our discretion
Creating Equality may offer reduced-cost or no-cost training on a limited basis even when donor funds are not available. Contributions to the Equal Access Program help expand that capacity and are applied where support is needed most.
Custom, Private, and Group Training
Custom, private, or group training may be subject to separate pricing, scheduling, location requirements, minimum attendance, cancellation terms, or written agreements. If separate written terms are provided for a specific training arrangement, those terms will control for that arrangement.
Refund Policy
Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change. To keep classes running smoothly and fairly for all students:
- Cancellations made 48 or more hours in advance are eligible for a full refund or the option to reschedule
- Cancellations made within 24–48 hours may be rescheduled one time (no refund)
- Cancellations made within 24 hours, or failure to attend (no-show), are not eligible for a refund or reschedule
If we need to cancel a class, training, private instruction, group training, or related services for any reason, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
If something unexpected comes up, please reach out—we will do our best to work with you when possible. Exceptions may be made at our discretion.
Refunds for classes, training, private instruction, group training, or related services may be issued based on timing and circumstances. Contributions made to support training access are non-refundable.
Canceling or rescheduling through the scheduling system does not automatically issue a refund. Refunds and reschedules are reviewed according to this policy and processed separately when applicable.
Website Use
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes.
You may not:
- Misuse forms or submit false information
- Attempt to interfere with website functionality
- Use the site in any way that could harm the business or other users
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, branding, and materials, is the property of Creating Equality and may not be used or reproduced without permission.
Additional Waiver
Participation in certain training activities may require completion of a separate waiver, release of liability, assumption of risk, safety acknowledgment, or other required forms. Failure to complete required forms may result in cancellation or removal from training without refund, subject to Creating Equality’s cancellation and refund policies.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
