Knowledge. Skill. Responsibility.

Firearms are not the right choice for everyone, and they are never the only option. For those who choose to explore them, these modules build safe handling skills, responsible decision-making, and an understanding of the responsibilities that come with firearm ownership and carry.

Either course stands on its own for participants who meet its experience requirements. Basic Handgun Fundamentals is designed for new and developing shooters, while Permit to Carry is intended for participants who already have basic handgun-handling experience.

Module 5 – Basic Handgun Fundamentals

Module 6 – Minnesota Permit to Carry

Duration: 3-4 hours, plus a separately scheduled live-fire qualification.

New to Handguns? Module 5 Comes First.

For participant safety and to ensure everyone is prepared for the live-fire qualification, anyone with no prior handgun-handling experience must complete Basic Handgun Fundamentals before participating in Creating Equality’s Minnesota Permit to Carry course.
